Welcome to the Hunter Ridge Stables Website!
Hunter Ridge is a large riding stable located in Shannock, RI. Situated on over 100 acres, the farm features huge, beautiful pastures over rolling hills. With three barns and more than 25 stalls, the farm is filled with show horses and ponies, school horses, mares in foal, baby prospects, sale horses, and even some retired old friends. The outside arena is loaded with show-quality jumps and exceptional footing.

Hunter Ridge has dedicated, well-qualified instructors/trainers: Wendy, owner and lead instructor; Erica, instructor and training rider; and others. Wendy trains and coaches in preparation for the hunter/jumper/equitation show ring, where Hunter Ridge riders always place well. But whether you want to show or not, Hunter Ridge can tailor a lesson program just for you.

In addition to boarding, lessons and showing, Hunter Ridge offers training for your horse or pony as well as help in buying and selling horses and ponies. There is almost always a horse or pony available for sale or for an on-the-farm lease. It's also fun to watch the babies being brought along in their training.
Hunter Ridge is also home to a very popular Horse Show Series. Locally-rated competitions, the shows are managed by Wendy and Matt with help from the Hunter Ridge riders and family members. These shows are geared to be a whole lot of fun, and with the enormous new sand arena, offer some of the nicest courses around. Year-end awards are also given to those participants that compete in the series of shows and accumulate the most points. Look on this website for more information about this series.
During the summer, Hunter Ridge offers a summer camp program, where campers learn about horses and stable care, and of course, to ride! It's not only fun for the campers, it's fun for the Hunter Ridge riders to help out and share what they have learned.
Hunter Ridge is full of young riders and adults that have a LOT of fun together, while at the same time, learn a lot about riding and horse care. Their friendships extend beyond the farm and the horse shows to barbecues and parties, trips to the movies, etc., etc.
